Monthly Roundup: New Mac features help users get more done

Mailbird continues to unveil new productivity tools and user experience tweaks for the Mac version of its popular email client, including undoing email sends, blocking messages, and adding more language support.
As summer rolls in for many of us, Mailbird’s Development team has been rolling out new productivity, design, and useability enhancements and features for Mailbird for Mac.
Let’s take a look at what’s in store for June.
Highlights of new Mailbird for Mac features
Undo send
Whether spotting an error, forgetting to include an attachment, or simply changing your mind, the addition of an undo send feature provides a useful safety net.
Mailbird for Mac users are now offered a brief buffer period between the moment they hit “send” on an email and the moment the message reaches its recipient. Hitting “Undo” will retract the email, allowing you to correct errors, include additional information or attachments, or simply cancel the message altogether.
Support for 28 additional languages
To further support its global user community, Mailbird developers added 28 new languages and right-to-left language support. Product and Development teams described it as a challenging and rewarding process that garnered positive feedback immediately after the languages were introduced.
Email attachment preview
Mailbird for Mac’s new attachment preview feature provides a quick and convenient way to view attached files without having to download and open them in a separate application. This gives users an easy way to get a glimpse of an attachment’s content before deciding whether to save the file and take further action.
Block sender
Blocking senders helps users manage unwanted and disruptive emails with a simple click. By pressing the “Block sender” button on an email, Mailbird for Mac will prevent all future messages from that sender from reaching your inbox. This is a crucial tool for maintaining a clean and distraction-free email workspace.
Open emails in separate windows
Users can now arrange their workspace to match their needs by opening emails in separate, dedicated windows rather than solely within the inbox pane. This makes it possible to reference more than one message at a time, write a new message, or access other apps—all with the original email in sight.
Add, edit, and remove links
Rather than including lengthy URLs in your messages, Mailbird for Mac now enables you to manage links—add, edit, and remove—directly in your email. This seemingly minor update will significantly enhance email readability, aesthetics, and clarity.
Many more features to come
As with all features mentioned in this and previous Monthly Roundups, Mailbird’s Product and Development teams collaborated with users and Early Adopters to decide which features to focus on and prioritize their delivery. It’s a process that drives the success of the company’s quickly growing Mac offering.
Come back for the next Monthly Roundup as we continue highlighting all the new features in the latest Mailbird for Mac.
