5 Email Productivity Tips to Clear Your Inbox in 2019

Pubblicato da Guest il dicembre 28, 2018

Every morning it’s the same story. You open your inbox and it’s flooded with tons of unread emails, about work, promotional offers, news articles, blog posts, follow ups, personal to-do’s and more. By the time you’ve dealt with them, it’s noon already and you’ve lost your entire morning. How do you fix this problem and achieve the mythical empty inbox (also called inbox zero) ? Here are 5 ways to ensure that you’re not distracted by unnecessary emails and that your inbox is regularly empty. If you touch it, you own it Do you open promotional emails from sites like Amazon, thinking you’ll just have a peek and close them? By the time you’re done, you realize you’ve spent half an hour going through all their attractive offers and even clicking on some of them, which in turn, take you to the Amazon website, where you continue browsing more products. Happens with me all the time. The simplest way to cut through unimportant and non-urgent emails is to follow the rule “If you touch it, you own it”. If you open an email, you must do something about it – reply, delete, archive or file it. If you can’t do one of these actions, then you shouldn’t be opening that email in the first place. In fact, to make it more effective, you can even apply David Allen’s 2-minute rule to getting things done – if you can reply to an email in less than 2 minutes, do it now.…

Pubblicato da Andrea Loubier il dicembre 28, 2018

This is an interview with Andrea Loubier, CEO of Mailbird who is one of the subjects for research on MVP’s within companies. 1.    Why did you decide to start Mailbird? Andrea Loubier: My cofounders and I all struggle with email management and productivity at one point or another in our professional careers. We observed a successful email client that only work for Gmail and Mac users, it was booming and was acquired by Google. So we decided to build the same for Windows, but today we are solving a bigger information management problem with an overflow of apps to manage our entire lives. So we pivoted to focusing on unifying communication on the Mailbird platform. Email is the greatest invention ever, and we wanted to be a part of a big global market in the business of information exchange and communication. 2.    How many people were involved in the initial startup? What were their roles? Andrea Loubier: 3 of us, me as the CEO, Olsen as the CTO and Michael as the CPO of Mailbird. Then we hired our first two junior developers. That was the starting team in the early days, today we are 12 people going strong. 3.    Did you already know there was a market for your product, or did you have to find out? How did you go about it? Andrea Loubier: We already knew, as we took the time to do research. There is an abundance of data about the email market online, so it was easy to validate the market for Mailbird. 4.    Did…

New Feature Announcement: Outlook and Thunderbird Account Import That’s right! That means that any folders, emails, or anything else we can bring into Mailbird through your other client’s POP3 or IMAP connection can be instantly imported with the click of a button! We’ve had a ton of requests for this feature, and it has taken a lot of time and manpower to make sure that this feature will work for every possible client and version. It’s taken a ton of time to ensure every version of Outlook, Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail will work. We are ecstatic that it is finally ready for you! Start Importing automagically Once you installed Mailbird or chose the option to “add another account”, Mailbird will give the option to “import from another email client”.   Mailbird will detect the accounts that you have added to your existing email client. Choose the account you would like to import to your Mailbird. The last step to activate the import – insert your email address and password and Mailbird will set up the account for you. Depending on how many accounts you have selected in the previous step, you may be asked to enter the details multiple times. One for each account.   Voilà! That’s it. Pubblicato da Guest il dicembre 24, 2018

Employee engagement is the personal investment and emotional commitment that employees have towards their company.  Engaged employees love their jobs! They work harder, stay with the company longer and are more productive. Gallup Studies indicate that higher employee engagement has a definite impact on key business outcomes, including a company’s profitability. That’s why companies around the world are always taking several measures to boost levels of employee satisfaction and engagement. They organize training workshops, one-one coaching, offer more flexibility such as remote work options and so on. However, remote teams have their own set of challenges which dampen morale and engagement. Communication can be confusing, team coordination can be weak and lack of physical proximity can lead to dampened team spirit, low trust and feelings of isolation. All these issues have solutions. Here are five smart ways to keep your remote team engaged. 1.     Use Agile to Manage Your Remote Team It’s not easy for remote teams to coordinate with each other while working on complex projects. Ineffective communication, unclear directions, poor intra-team and inter-departmental coordination lead to confusion, misunderstandings and conflict – all of which are bad for employee engagement. Implementing an agile project management approach can minimize these roadblocks and boost engagement. The agile approach is centered around the principles of adaptability, mutual accountability, continuous improvement, frequent communication and empowerment of every single employee. That’s why it’s perfect for remote teams. For instance, the agile methodology makes people communicate openly and frequently to discuss roadblocks. Team members can…

6 Steps To Writing The Best B2B Emails in 2019

Pubblicato da Guest il novembre 29, 2018

Did you know that approximately 51% of B2B marketers use emails as their primary marketing channel? This was revealed by a recent Marketing Technology Strategy Survey Summary Report. Although new channels have emerged over the years since emails were first used, they still are the best option for businesses. However, there’s a twist to using emails, irrespective of whether you send a single or multiple emails, aspects that must be looked into if you’re to achieve the desired objective. Using emails can backfire on you. To counter this, there are some tips that you could implement to make your emails effective. Check out these 6 tips: 1. Who’s Your Audience? The only way to craft an email that will make any sense is by knowing your recipient. In this case, businesses need to identify who their target audience is and tailor the email accordingly. Without a target market in mind, chances are that your email will be irrelevant to the people who really count and therefore end up having no value. The fact is, the email isn’t really about you but rather your audience. Ensure that as you write it, you focus on them rather than your company. Make them feel as part of your brand. 2. Work On The Subject Line Any writer understands the value a heading or title holds in an article because should they not be “catchy” or interesting, you can be assured no one will bother reading the rest of your article. Email subject lines…

Online payment options have changed the way companies conduct business transactions with their clients and customers so much, that almost every online order is fast and straightforward these days. All you have to do is click a few times on the dashboard, and you’re done.   We came a long way from PayPal and Square, instead, we now focus on Bitcoin transactions and payments.
