13 Tricks to Build an Awesome Brand Using a Podcast in 2019

Pubblicato da Guest il gennaio 8, 2019

The podcast has been around for more than a decade, and has made the rounds more of a convenient way to get news or a radio broadcast on demand. However, podcasts have bloomed into a great way to do marketing in 2014, when popular podcasts such as Serial attracted the attention of a mobile population. Podcasts became so popular that big companies were willing to bet on them to engage customers. However, not all companies have the resources to commission a branded podcast series by established podcast producers, or even a mention on a popular podcast. The next best thing, then, is to launch your own podcast to build your brand. Before you start to panic, consider that podcasts are not really that much different from blogs.  The idea behind either medium is to present information that your target audience wants or needs and develop a relationship with them at the same time. You also use a certain tone to express your personality and establish a rapport with your audience. The main difference is that blogs use text, and some graphics, while podcasts use audio, and some videos.  The biggest advantage of podcasts over blogs is that the audience prefers audio-based entertainment. They can do other things while listening, which they can’t really do while reading. This is why 42 million Americans listened to podcasts weekly in 2017, and most of them play it on a mobile device. Podcast also tend to create loyalty and passion among listeners once you…

In the age of modern email marketing, there is a ton of competition for the attention of your prospective customers. The secret to being successful in this arena is to write an email that customers are actually going to open, read and click through to conversion. But what kind of email marketing strategy works best? Not only do you need to know the best time and day when to send out your emails. There are a few more things you should consider in your emailing strategy to increase your opening and conversion rate. Personalize Your Emails It has been proven that emails with a personalized subject line are opened 26% more than emails with generic subjects. Simply putting the recipient’s name in the subject increases the open rate by nearly 15%. You can easily do this if you use an email service like Aweber or MailChimp. This personalized approach to emails improve the click-through-rate (CTR) by 14% and your conversions by 10%. That’s a lot for just one simple tweak! Segment Your Email List Similar to personalizing your emails is segmenting your email list. Segmenting your list basically means separating your subscribers into groups that characterize their target markets. For example, having women aged 25-40 with kids in one group and women 20-35 without kids in another. This helps to better address the reader’s interests. Marketers have experienced 29% higher open rates, 28% lower unsubscribe rates and 60% more clicks from segmenting their email campaigns. Include Offers and Incentives With so…

The art of crafting the perfect “keep in touch email” Ah, the dreaded “keeping in touch” email. It often comes across as clunky, or worse: downright awkward. How do you reach out to someone for merely the sake of “keeping up the relationship”? It’s easy with friends and family–you just reach out with a specific memory or sentiment, and voilá! You’re back in the swing of things in no time. What if you could do the same thing with your business relationships? These working relationships often blur the lines of business and friendship. While that may not be the case with all contacts, at a very minimum, there is frequently something you remember about a specific person. This could be simply his love for golf or her cat’s name is Aspen. Whatever little nugget of information you have, keep it at the forefront of your mind as you craft your email! Hints and Tricks There are a variety of situations that may necessitate a touching base email. You may want to stay in touch with an old coworker who has left the company. An old superior or higher-up may have mentored you, and you wish to reach out every so often. Potentially, a virtual client–someone you’ve never met face-to-face–is your intended recipient. Maybe you met a person at an event, and want to reach out electronically. Whatever the case may be, it’s important to keep a few things in mind. When crafting this type of email, it’s best to follow these hints…

5 Email Productivity Tips to Clear Your Inbox in 2019

Pubblicato da Guest il dicembre 28, 2018

Every morning it’s the same story. You open your inbox and it’s flooded with tons of unread emails, about work, promotional offers, news articles, blog posts, follow ups, personal to-do’s and more. By the time you’ve dealt with them, it’s noon already and you’ve lost your entire morning. How do you fix this problem and achieve the mythical empty inbox (also called inbox zero) ? Here are 5 ways to ensure that you’re not distracted by unnecessary emails and that your inbox is regularly empty. If you touch it, you own it Do you open promotional emails from sites like Amazon, thinking you’ll just have a peek and close them? By the time you’re done, you realize you’ve spent half an hour going through all their attractive offers and even clicking on some of them, which in turn, take you to the Amazon website, where you continue browsing more products. Happens with me all the time. The simplest way to cut through unimportant and non-urgent emails is to follow the rule “If you touch it, you own it”. Andrea Loubier – How to build a MVP in 2019

Pubblicato da Andrea Loubier il dicembre 28, 2018

This is an interview with Andrea Loubier, CEO of Mailbird who is one of the subjects for research on MVP’s within companies. 1.    Why did you decide to start Mailbird? Andrea Loubier: My cofounders and I all struggle with email management and productivity at one point or another in our professional careers. We observed a successful email client that only work for Gmail and Mac users, it was booming and was acquired by Google. So we decided to build the same for Windows, but today we are solving a bigger information management problem with an overflow of apps to manage our entire lives. So we pivoted to focusing on unifying communication on the Mailbird platform. Email is the greatest invention ever, and we wanted to be a part of a big global market in the business of information exchange and communication. 2.    How many people were involved in the initial startup? What were their roles? Andrea Loubier: 3 of us, me as the CEO, Olsen as the CTO and Michael as the CPO of Mailbird. Then we hired our first two junior developers. That was the starting team in the early days, today we are 12 people going strong. 3.    Did you already know there was a market for your product, or did you have to find out? How did you go about it? Andrea Loubier: We already knew, as we took the time to do research. There is an abundance of data about the email market online, so it was easy to validate the market for Mailbird. 4.    Did…
