A 2016 Valentine’s Day Gift for Singles Everywhere

Publicado por Jason Ephraim de febrero 12, 2016

Being single on Valentine’s Day can be rough

Even as far back as middle school, I can remember the sad feeling I got when I didn’t get a Valentine’s Day card. As wonderful as Valentine’s is for couples, it can be an equally depressing time for people who are still looking for love. For some singles, it’s a day that almost seems to be designed to make it painfully-clear that everyone has found love but you (even if that isn’t true).

Amidst a flurry of social updates, flower deliveries, and all the professions of undying love happening all around you – it can be tough to stay positive if you happen to be single on Valentine’s.

That’s why we wanted to help single people this Valentine’s Day

Actually, we wanted make it easy for everyone to help out single people on this difficult day. So, we put our heads together and came up with an awesome idea. What if people could submit a short, encouraging message for a random single out there. «Stay positive», «you will find someone», etc…

Introducing: The Mailbird Singles Support Messenger Service

Steps (1)

How it works:

1. First, click on the button below to begin.

2. Next, you will be prompted to enter your email & Download Mailbird. Go ahead and enter your email and click Download.ValentineDescExperiment2

3. If you entered an email address, you will be asked if you are single or not. This is so we know if we should send you your very own message (if you are single, yourself) or not.

4. Either «yes» or «no» will then open a message window where we will ask you for your first name and your short message encouraging Valentine’s Day singles.

And that’s all there is to it!

We will shoot off your message to a person who is single on Valentine’s Day. If you indicated you are also single, you can expect to receive your own encouraging message – sent to the email you provided on step 2. If you indicated you are not single, you will still get a short email thanking you for participating and helping cheer up someone who might be feeling a little left out.

Every message also includes a link to a generated image of the message, along with social sharing options. So, don’t be surprised if you see your message getting kudos on Facebook, Twitter, or another network.

All personal and contact information is kept confidential, and the recipient will only receive the name and message you provided in step 4. The email containing your message will be sent from our server, using a generic Mailbird email address. The only thing a recipient will see is your first name, and the message.
